About Me
Hey there, I'm Alyssa.
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, I started my training at VIU Esthetics in 2014 and fell in love with the industry. I've had the opportunities of being able to work in day spas, hair salons, a podiatrist office and a beauty supply store to obtain as much experience before becoming independent. I'm passionate about care for the body & specialize in Brazilian waxing. I have certifications in Vajacials and more advanced nail care and have taken extra training in learning all about structured manicures to recently learning lash lifts in 2023. I love the atmosphere of giving someone a massage or facial, and making people feel even more beautiful in their skin.
I've always had a passion for this industry since becoming an Esthetician, I love meeting new people and making people feel relaxed. It has always felt like a safe place where there is no judgment, and everyone has fun. ♥
My Story
Looking back I always loved painting my nails, especially with my twin sister Cera. My sister and I took our training together and she also has a business doing Esthetics and Lashes. Check out her website here. We each have a business in my mother's family home in Nanaimo near Terminal Park, Where it is super private and cozy. I've always known that I wanted to be an Esthetician one day and I have loved every minute when I am with my clients. Building the relationships I have with my clients have been my favourite part of this industry.
When I am not building my business, I am a mother of one and step mom to another. I married my best-friend Cody in 2021 in Tofino, BC. I'm a Hiking Enthusiast for Vancouver Island. I'm super passionate about the outdoors, where I teach and practice Leave No Trace principles online. I take extreme pride in what I do, I'm a perfectionist which is great for you! I'm constantly seeking the best products to use, creating a clean cozy and aesthetic atmosphere. I'm always learning better ways of the trade and putting my knowledge to the test. With an industry that is always changing, it's good to stay in the loop and on top of education.
